Meet Laurie

Laurie Canepa brings over two decades of Finance and Accounting expertise to her role as Managing Director of Search at StevenDouglas. After starting her career in public accounting and serving as a Corporate Controller, she transitioned into recruiting in 2006, building a deep network across Texas. Laurie specializes in placing mid-level to C-suite F&A leaders across non-profits, middle-market firms, and global corporations. Prior to StevenDouglas, she spent 15 years as a Partner and top producer at a premier Texas search firm. Laurie holds a B.S. from Charleston Southern University and stays active in the Austin community through board work and mentorship.
